Could Roethlisberger play Sunday?
The Pittsburgh Steelers’s Ben Roethlisberger (quarterback) had an MRI exam on his left knee last week & the results revealed a hyper extended knee as well as a bone bruise. Roethlisberger who went down during the last drive of Monday night’s game after taking a shot from the San Diego Chargers rookie defensive lineman Luis Castillo. Ben Roethlisberger was on the ground for a few minutes before backup Charlie Batch replaced him.
If Ben Roethlisberger does not play on Sunday & Tommy Maddox (backup quarterback) remains out due to a calf injury, Batch could start against Jacksonville. Before Ben Roethlisberger left the game, he completed 17 of 26 passes for a total of 225 yards with a touchdown in the win. Roethlisberger, who also added a rushing touchdown, hasn't thrown an interception this season in 86 attempts. He leads the AFC with a rating of 123.8, having completed 52 of 86 throws for 913 yards with 7 touchdowns.
